Description
86 High Street in Invergordon is a building dating from around 1830. It is two stories tall with an attic and features three wide bays. The exterior is made of tooled coursed rubble, with contrasting painted polished ashlar dressings.
The central door is pilastered and corniced, with a window above that has similar detailing. The outer bays contain tripartite windows. There is long and short detailing at the angles and outer first-floor windows, with a half semi-circular detail on the right that is also repeated at No. 84 High Street. The ground floor outer bays have shops that were added around 1900. The building has two piended dormers, corniced end stacks, and a slate roof.
Inside, there is a wide entrance hall featuring a pilastered archway leading to the rear stairs and a decorative corniced plaster ceiling.
