Anchor Bar, 55 High Street, Invergordon

51 High Street in Invergordon is a building dating from around 1820. It is two stories high with an attic and features three wide bays. The front is made of polished ashlar, while the gables are constructed from rubble. The central entrance has a door framed by a corniced portico, which is supported by Roman Doric columns. On the ground floor, there are three closely set windows with modern glazing, separated by pilasters that are paired at the outer edges, and there is a deep fascia above. The first floor has three windows, with the center window flanked by narrow blind side lights. The building showcases long short detailing at the angles and windows on the first floor, along with a lintel and eaves course. There are three piended dormers, and the upper windows have 12-pane glazing. The building is topped with a slate roof and has corniced end stacks.
