Description

98 Irish Street in Dumfries is an early 19th century, late Georgian building. It is two stories tall and features a symmetrical five-bay façade with a central doorpiece supported by engaged Roman Doric columns. The exterior is finished in painted droved ashlar and includes a small plinth, a first-floor band course that is integrated with the blocking course of the doorpiece, and a main cornice along with the blocking course. The top sashes on the first floor have six panes, while the rest of the windows have been reglazed with single-pane sashes. The building has end stacks and a slate roof.
