Description
Upper McCubbington Farmhouse is an earlier 19th century single-storey attic farmhouse situated on a slope, featuring a basement to the north and west. The east elevation consists of three bays with a recessed door that has a decorative fanlight, approached by steps, and 12-pane sash windows. The building is constructed of whin rubble, partly cherry-caulked, with contrasting red ashlar dressings and margins. It includes a base course, an eaves/lintel band, a cornice, and a blocking course, along with three piended dormers, although the central dormer is modern. The farmhouse has corniced end stacks and a roof covered with graded slates. The left wing is a recessed single bay made of painted rubble, and there is a modern harled porch on the west wall.
