Description

East Cottage is a pair of earlier 19th-century cottages, built as a single unit. They are single-storey and have three bays each, with a central door joining the two cottages. The cottages have hood-moulded openings above the windows and door. They are constructed of rubble stone, largely whinstone, with dressings of stugged red ashlar. The stone margins and gables are painted. The doors are partially glazed and boarded, and the windows have wooden mullions. The west cottage retains latticed glazing in its windows. The roof is slate, with straight skews and end chimneys.
