Description
Ballochan Linn Viaduct is a railway viaduct on the Dumfries-Closeburn line, designed by engineer John Millar and opened on October 15, 1849. It features three round arches that support a double track above Ballochan Linn. The structure is built from stugged red ashlar, with rusticated voussoirs and quoins on battered piers. The abutments are slightly battered, and there are terminal piers and a string course below the parapet, topped with an iron handrail.
