Description
High Kilroy is an earlier 19th century single-storey and attic farmhouse featuring three bays. The east elevation is made of painted ashlar with margins, while the remainder is painted rubble. It has a recessed central panelled door with a decorative fanlight, and 12-pane sash windows in the outer bays. The building includes a base course, an eaves and lintel band, a plain eaves cornice, and two piended 12-pane dormers. The roof has straight skews and corniced end stacks, covered with graded slates. To the left, there is a recessed low two-bay wing, and an additional door is located on the west wall.
The steading consists of two main blocks: the former farmhouse to the south, which has three bays and a central door, and a taller barn to the west that runs parallel to the present house. The barn features slit vents at the lower level and triangular vents above, along with a lower south wing that has a roof vent. All structures are made of painted rubble, with either corrugated or slated roofs.
