Description

Early 18th century. Farmhouse of painted rubble. 2 storeys,

attic and basement with single storey and basement additional

wing to right.

3 bays to main elevation with later central projecting hipped

porch enclosing steps over basement. All windows sash and

case with 4 or 16-pane glazing. Moulded eaves cornice (cyma

recta and fillet). 2 later 19th century timber gabled dormers

breaking wallhead. Slate roofs, corniced axial stacks at

gables with thackstanes. Left gable with 2 blocked windows.

Right gable with single storey wing similarly detailed.

REAR ELEVATION; symmetrical modern glazing to basement

windows, lean-to porch to centre. Otherwise details as above;

2 blind windows to 1st floor. Drystone retaining walls to

gardens.
