Description
Halketleaths Farm is an early 18th century farmhouse constructed of painted rubble. It has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, along with a single storey and basement wing on the right side. The main elevation features three bays and a later central projecting hipped porch that encloses steps leading to the basement. All windows are sash and case, with either 4 or 16-pane glazing. The eaves cornice is moulded, featuring cyma recta and fillet designs. There are two later 19th century timber gabled dormers that break the wallhead. The roof is covered in slate, and there are corniced axial stacks at the gables with thackstanes. The left gable has two blocked windows, while the right gable mirrors the detailing of the single storey wing.
On the rear elevation, there is symmetrical modern glazing for the basement windows and a lean-to porch at the centre. The rest of the details match those of the front, including two blind windows on the first floor. Drystone retaining walls are present in the gardens.
