Description

Highmill Bridge is a single segmental arched road bridge dated 1821, with Hyslop suggesting completion in 1822. The bridge is constructed from stugged grey ashlar with v-channelled voussoirs, a banked course below a ramped parapet featuring splayed approaches and panels above the keystone. According to the New Statistical Account, the span measures 100 feet.
