57, 59 Main Street, Glenluce

57 and 59 Main Street in Glenluce is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house that has been recently renovated to include a shop on the ground floor. The building is rendered with painted margins and features architraved windows on the first floor, projecting cills, and a base course.

On the south elevation facing Main Street, there is a fanlit door at the center. To the left on the ground floor, there is a window, while to the right is the shop entrance, which has two modern doors and a modern fascia. The first floor has a regular arrangement of windows. This elevation continues onto No 61 Main Street, which is listed separately.

The west elevation is gabled and is located close to No 55 Main Street, which is also listed separately. The east elevation is adjoined to No 61 Main Street. The building features modern glazing, lacks skews, and has broad rubble gablehead stacks on the west side and a shared stack on the east. The roof is covered with modern profiled tiles.
