Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay house. Painted rubble with painted quoins and contrasting raised margins. Symmetrical front with central doorway, panelled door. All single light windows, sash and case with 12-pane glazing. To rear, lower 2-storey painted rubble projecting bay with cat-slide roof. End skews, corniced end stacks with thackstanes, octagonal cans. Graded slate roofs. Good cast-iron rainwater goods. To rear of house, rubble garden walls link up with rectangular 2-storey outbuilding (former smithy) with catslide roof to rear. Painted rubble with door openings widened to ground, to 1st loft door in gable wall. 2 small windows to 1st. Sandstone end skews, coped end stacks, graded slate roof.
