Description
Chestnut House in Laurieston is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical house. It features painted rubble walling with polished raised angles and window margins. The central entrance has a partially glazed door with a narrow fanlight above. The windows are single light sash and case types, arranged in a two-pane glazing pattern. The house has coped end stacks with thackstanes, a sandstone ridge, and skews, all topped with slate roofs. At the rear, there is a single-storey brick addition in the centre.
