Description
Windhover, Laurieston, is a pair of early 19th century painted rubble cottages. Each cottage is two storeys high with a three-bay frontage and a central doorway. Lilac Grove features windows that were enlarged to bipartites in the early 20th century, with a single light window above the door and sash windows that have a four-pane glazing pattern. Windhover has single light windows with modern plate glass glazing.
Both cottages have slate roofs, with ridges and skew stones made of sandstone, and coped axial and end stacks, while the centre stack is made of brick. Lilac Grove also has a single storey brick extension at the rear.
