Description

66-68 Grassmarket is a four-storey, four-bay plain classical tenement building dating from around 1800, featuring shops on the ground floor. The building is constructed of droved ashlar, which is painted at the ground level. It has polished cill courses at the first, second, and third floors, as well as an eaves course and a blocking course. There is a narrow gated pend on the right side of the building. The upper floors have regular fenestration, with the first window on the left at the first floor being blind. The windows have 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case style, and the roof is covered with grey slates.
