11 Jordan Lane, Morningside, Edinburgh

11 Jordan Lane is a house from the earlier 19th century, featuring two storeys and three bays, with a projecting rear stairwell. The front is made of cream sandstone with coursed and squared rubble, while the rear and sides are constructed from squared and snecked rubble.

On the south elevation, which was formerly the front, there is a band course above the ground floor. The central doorway is architraved and corniced, with a narrow six-pane fanlight above it, and there is a single window on the first floor above the doorway. The outer bays each have a single window on both the ground and first floors.

The north elevation, previously the rear, has a rectangular stairwell with a lean-to roof in the centre bay and a secondary door on the return. The outer bays also feature single windows on both the ground and first floors.

Both the east and west elevations are gabled and have apex stacks. The windows are 12-pane timber sash and case, and the roof is slate with two apex stacks. Inside, there is a stone stair leading to the stairwell, which has a cast-iron balustrade and a timber handrail.
