Description

McArthy and Watson, 1894. Single storey and basement harled cottages with red sandstone quoins and long and short surrounds. Centred inscription above principal window to SW elevation; 1676 heraldic panel to gable of central projecting bay at rear (SE).

NW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 5-bay. Pair of symmetrically disposed, gabled, half-timbered bays with stairs to entrance doors at ground floor between and to either side; gabled bays canted with 3 lights to front and overhanging eaves.

SW ELEVATION: pair of small windows to left at basement level; small window to left at floor above; larger centred window with recessed panel for inscription above; gablehead stack.

SE ELEVATION: 5-bay. Window to all bays to either side of advanced gabled bay at centre; wide doorway to central bay at ground, with panel above.

Small-paned timber-framed sash and case windows. Red tiled roof; banded sandstone and rubble ridge and shouldered gablehead stacks; cast-iron rainwater goods.
