Description

The gatepiers at Roseburn Cliff in Edinburgh were designed by McArthy and Watson, likely in 1902. They are a pair of square-plan piers made of red sandstone, featuring cornices and elongated pyramid finials resting on ball feet, reflecting the Scots 17th century style. Each pier consists of three cuboid blocks set on a pedestal, and the pyramid finials are also crafted from three blocks, with the right-hand finial topped by a square cap.
