Description

Circa 1882. 4-storey, 4-bay tenement with Baronial details, forming part of terrace. Squared and snecked pink sandstone with polished ashlar dressings. Base course; string courses above ground and 1st floors; cornice at 2nd floor; roll-moulded doorways; deep-set panelled doors; chamfered reveals.

S ENTRANCE elevation: doorways offset to left and right in 3rd bay; bipartite windows above; single window with semi-circular pediment at 3rd floor. Outer bay to right advanced with chamfered window angle, linked to neighbouring tenement to outer right with continous string course; pyramidal roof with iron finial. Full-height canted window in 2nd bay, corbelled to square at crowstepped gablehead; blinded slit window set in gablehead. Bipartite windows in 1st bay; pedimented and stone crescent-finialled single window at 3rd floor. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; coped mutual stacks; crowstepped gables; beaked skewputts. INTERIORS: not seen 1991.
