53, 55 Warrender Park Road, Edinburgh

53 and 55 Warrender Park Road is a four-storey, four-bay tenement building dating from around 1882, featuring Baronial architectural details. It is constructed from squared and snecked sandstone with polished ashlar dressings. The building has a base course, a string course above the first floor, a corbel table at the third floor, crowstepped gables, chamfered reveals, roll-moulded doorways, deep-set panelled doors, and plate glass fanlights.

On the southeast elevation, the doorways are offset to the left and right in the third bay. There are bipartite windows at the first and second floors above, and a single pedimented window at the third floor. The second and fourth bays feature full-height canted windows, which are corbelled to a square at the gablehead, along with blinded single windows set in the gablehead and a stone finial in the fourth bay. The first bay has bipartite windows, while the third floor includes a single window with a stone finialled semi-circular pediment. The building is fitted with plate glass sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and features coped mutual stacks and beak skewputts. The interiors were not seen in 1991.

There is low boundary coping along the street.
