Description

Circa 1878. 4-storey, 4-bay Scottish 17th century style tenement, forming part of terrace. Squared and snecked bull-faced sandstone with polished ashlar dressings. Base course; corbel table at 3rd floor, forming hoodmoulding to heraldic panel at centre; 3rd floor windows breaking eaves; stop-chamfered reveals.

E ENTRANCE elevation: 2 roll-moulded and hoodmoulded doorways to inner bays; panelled doors; plate glass fanlights central single window at ground. Single windows to all floors above doorways; pedimented and stone finialled dormerheads to 3rd floor windows. Crowstepped full-height advanced bipartite window in bay to outer left; thistle finial. Full-height 2-light angled window in bay to outer right, corbelled to square at gablehead; stone finial. PLate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; corbelled wallhead stack with heavy bracketted coping; coped mutual stacks; moulded cans; scroll skewputts; stone gutter stops. INTERIORS: not seen 1991.
