Description

2, 3, 4 Warrender Park Terrace is a five-storey tenement building with a basement and a mansard attic, designed by Edward Calvert in 1878. It features Baronial details and is part of a terrace. The structure is built from squared and snecked sandstone, accented with polished ashlar dressings. There are string courses at the first floor and above the third floor, along with crowstepped gables and stop-chamfered reveals.

On the entrance elevation, there are architraved segmental-arched doorways in the second and fourth bays, which are flanked by recessed polished granite colonnettes with foliate capitals. The doors are deep-set and panelled, topped with plate glass fanlights. Above, in the second bay, there is a single window, and a pedimented dormerhead with a finial at the fourth floor. The doorway in the fourth bay is accompanied on the left by a simpler roll-moulded segmental-arched doorway with a panelled door and plate glass fanlight. Each floor features bipartite windows in the third bay and single windows in both bays at the fourth floor, set within corbelled panels that overstep ciphered panels and are linked above by gableheads. The outer left and right bays have full-height canted windows, which are corbelled to square at the fourth floor, while the fourth floor also includes tripartite windows with single lights on the returns. The building is topped with a grey slate roof, coped mutual stacks, and moulded eaves guttering. The interiors were not seen in 1991.

Additionally, there are decorative cast-iron railings surrounding the area and steps leading up to the entrances.
