1-1A Easter Belmont Road, Edinburgh

1-1A Easter Belmont Road is a two-storey Scottish Arts and Crafts villa built in 1924 by F W Deas. The building has an irregular plan and is finished in light brown harling with contrasting sandstone details. It features a base course and overhanging eaves.

The north elevation, which is the entrance side, shows the main house forming an L-shape with a single-storey service wing attached to the east. The entrance bay is gabled and canted, located at the centre of the long range, and includes an architraved and roll-moulded doorway with a panelled door. Above the doorway is a keystoned vesica in the shaped gablehead, and to the left is a stair window set into the chamfered angle. There is a single window at ground level to the right return. The right side of the canted bay has single windows at both the ground and first floors, with an irregular distribution of additional windows. A short wing advances to the left, featuring a doorway, a stair window, and irregularly distributed single windows on the right return. The roof of this wing sweeps down to the ground floor on the north side. To the left, there is a short single-storey range and a pitched roof garage, which was formerly the service wing.

The villa has small-pane sash and case windows, a grey slate piended roof with a stone cope, and tall stone-coped stacks.

The interior was not seen in 2001. The property is complemented by three plain harled and stone-coped gatepiers.
