Brucehill, 5 Easter Belmont Road, Edinburgh

Brucehill is a two-storey, U-plan villa located at 5 Easter Belmont Road in Edinburgh, designed by Orphoot, Whiting & Bryce. The building features a cream harling exterior and exhibits influences from MacLaren and Voysey. It has swept overhanging eaves and slender concrete ledges above the windows.

The northern entrance elevation consists of two advanced gabled wings connected by a low wall and timber fencing, creating a court area facing the street. To the left, there is a round-arched gateway in the advanced bay, featuring a decorative wrought-iron gate that closes off the passage to the entrance. The windows on both floors are irregular in size and distribution, adding character to the court. An advanced gabled bay is positioned slightly to the right of the center, and there is a bowed oriel stair tower at the first floor within the re-entrant angle of the advanced bay to the right. The villa includes fixed and casement windows with small-pane glazing. The roof is covered with grey slate and features stone coping, as well as stone-coped ridge and wallhead stacks. The original rainwater goods, including hoppers, are still in place.

The interior was not seen in 2001.
