Description

9 Easter Belmont Road is a traditional Scottish revival villa built in 1933 by architects H O Tarbolton and M M Ochterlony. This two-storey building has an irregular plan and features harled walls with ashlar sandstone dressings. The roof has swept overhanging eaves, extending down to the ground floor on the south side.

On the north elevation, there is an advanced gabled entrance bay that is offset to the right of the center. It includes a deep-set two-leaf panelled door with single windows flanking the doorway. The first floor has three windows, and there is a single window in the gablehead. A stair window is located on the right return, while the left return features a bipartite window and a catslide dormer. To the left of the entrance bay, there are four windows at ground level and two on the first floor. A blank bay is situated to the right of the entrance bay.

The east elevation has a garage adjoining at ground level and two windows on the first floor. The west elevation includes two windows on both the ground and first floors. The south elevation has a roof that sweeps down to the ground floor in the outer bays, with a central recessed two-storey bay.

The villa features small-pane sash and case windows, with six panes on the north elevation. The roof is covered in grey slate with stone coping and has low corniced ridge stacks. The interior was not seen in 2001.
