Description
Sedan Chair House is an 18th-century single-story ancillary store located against the wall on the west side of Tweeddale Court, High Street, Edinburgh. The building is constructed from squared and snecked rubble and features a moulded string course at lintel level. It has a timber three-leaf door and timber dentils at the eaves, with a roof covered in grey graded Scottish slate.
Inside, there are two notably substantial timber joists supported on stone corbels, and the timber roof beams are also supported on a run of corbels.
