Description
St Monica's School is an 18th-century building located on Vicarage Street in Warminster. It is two storeys high and consists of two parts, one of which has an attic. The exterior features coursed small cut and squared rubble on a projecting plinth, with ashlar quoins and a string course above the ground floor windows. The building has a small wooden moulded eaves cornice and an old tile roof.
To the right, there are three hipped dormers with two-light casements. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, with six on the first floor and five on the ground floor, all having moulded stone frames and keys. The entrance features a four-panel 19th-century door with a narrow overlight, located in the third bay from the left, and is surrounded by a moulded stone architrave and a flat stone hood supported by console brackets.
At the rear, there is a projecting two-and-a-half storey quarter-hipped wing with moulded stone frames for the windows and two cellar lights. There are also some modern extensions and a small lean-to half-timbered porch to the right.
