Description

This is an 18th or early 19th century building, altered in the mid-19th century. It forms a projecting wing to the right of number 1 Vicarage Street, with an entrance onto Emwell Street. The front facing number 1 has been remodelled and includes a narrow sash window on the first floor. The rest of the building is constructed of small, coursed rubble with quoins, with ashlar quoins and later brick dressings to the windows. It has two storeys with two ranges of sash windows with glazing bars facing Vicarage Street. The fenestration is irregular on Emwell Street, featuring a large half-hipped dormer window. A four-paned recessed door is present. The roof is tiled and slopes in the same plane as the hip of number 1, and is splayed at the centre. The building is included on the list for group value.
