Description
Trumpeters is a 18th-century building located on the north side of West Street. It features rendered walls and a tiled roof with a blocked timber eaves cornice. The building is two storeys high. On the ground floor, there is a doorway with a raised panel door, moulded architraves, and a flat hood supported by console brackets. The ground floor also has five double hung sash windows, four of which have glazing bars, while one has only a central bar. The first floor contains five double hung sash windows, with three having glazing bars and two lacking them. At the west end, there is a large arched opening on the ground floor fitted with modern double doors. At the rear, there is a single storey lean-to with brick walls and a tiled roof, which includes one old blocked window with an oak frame and square section mullions that are rebated for lead lights. A courtyard is situated between Nos 24 and 25, enclosed by a brick wall and featuring modern iron gates.
