Description
Nos 9 and 10 on West Street are a pair of early 19th-century houses designed in the Regency style. They feature rendered walls, low pitched slate roofs, and brick stacks, standing two storeys tall. The ground floor includes a pair of panelled doors with raised centre panels, which are sheltered by a combined, slightly canted hood supported by console brackets. Number 9 has a 19th-century shop window with glazing bars, while number 10 has a double hung sash window with glazing bars and louvred shutters in recesses on the ground floor. The first floor of number 10 features three double hung sash windows with glazing bars. There is a now blank plaque below the centre window, and rusticated pilasters frame each end of the facade.
