Description

Wimborne Book Shop, located at No. 26 on the north side of West Street, is an 18th-century building featuring brick walls constructed in grey header bond with red brick details and aprons below the window sills. The building has a tiled roof and brick stacks, and it stands two storeys tall. The entrance door is moulded and has a classical surround with a broken pediment, carved console brackets, and moulded pilasters. To the left of the entrance is a modern shop window, while to the right is a double hung sash window with glazing bars. The first floor includes four double hung sash windows, also with glazing bars, contributing to the overall quality of the 18th-century facade.
