Description
Circa 1965. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan villa. Squared and snecked rubble; polished ashlar W elevation. Base and blocking courses; cornice; roll-moulded window surrounds; stugged and rusticated quoins; pedimented ashlar dormers.
W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central entrance; architraved door surrounded with carved foreate and foliate band; carved consoles supporting cornice; panelled door; plate glass fanlight; single architraved and lugged window at 1st floor centre. Full-height slightly advanced bay flanking to right with tripartite windows and dividing cornice. Full-height canted window flanking to left with dividing cornice. 3 ashlar-faced pedimented dormer windows above eaves. Lower 2-storey wing with single windows at ground and 1st floors and matching details.
N ELEVATION: lower 2-storey service wing.
E ELEVATION: symmetrical fenestration to main house; single windows at ground and 1st floors of service wing.
Mixture of 4-pane and plate sash and case windows.
Grey slate piended roof; lead flashing; 4 skylights; corniced wallhead stack to S; rendered wallhead stack to N.
INTERIOR: leaded light vestibule door; encaustic tiles; ornate plaster cornice.
Low droved ashlar coped rataining wall to street; wrought-iron barleysugar gatepiers with decorative castings; high mutual boundary walls. Large early 20th century garage to rear.
