Description

The Harp Hotel, located at 114-116 St John's Road in Corstorphine, Edinburgh, is a mid-19th century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical house. The building features coursed, snecked sandstone on the south side and rubble sandstone on the east side. It has a dividing band course, quoins, long and short surrounds to the openings, and projecting cills.

The south elevation, which serves as the entrance, has two steps leading to a timber door at the center, topped with a fanlight. There is a single window aligned with the first floor above the door, and additional single windows on the ground and first floors in the flanking bays. The right bay connects at the roof and first floor to form an entrance to a car park at the rear and a link to a new extension.

On the west elevation, there is a single window at the center of the ground floor and a small window to the outer left on the first floor. The building features 8-pane timber sash and case windows, a grey slate piended roof, a wallhead stack, and replacement rainwater goods.

The interior was not seen in 1997. The property is also accompanied by boundary walls made of coped rubble, with cast-iron piers and gates for both pedestrian and vehicular entrances.
