31-33 Ravelston Dykes Road is a dwelling house that possibly dates back to the 17th century, with later modifications and alterations. It is a single storey and attic structure featuring seven bays. The building is constructed from squared and snecked rubble, with the northern elevation finished in painted harl and exposed margins.

The northern elevation, which serves as the entrance to No 31, has a two-storey harled L-plan center. It features a single window on the ground floor of the northern face, with two single windows above on the first floor. The entrance door is located on the western return, accompanied by a single window on the northern face of the return and modern attic windows. To the right, there is a single-storey range made of exposed rubble with two single windows. To the left, a one-and-a-half storey range includes two single windows at ground level and two crowstepped dormer windows above, along with a lean-to garage.

The eastern elevation has a modern V-plan window at ground level. The southern elevation, which serves as the entrance to No 33, features a two-storey rubble center and a one-and-a-half storey range to the right that has two crowstepped dormer windows, along with a modern conservatory at ground floor level.
