Description
Old Ravelston House, located on Ravelston Dykes Road in Edinburgh, dates back to 1622 and features the remains of a 17th century tower house. The building is constructed from squared and snecked rubble.
On the south elevation, there is a single window at the gablehead and another single window below it. The west elevation has a blind wall. The north elevation includes a narrow light in the gablehead and another window below. On the east elevation, there is a single window located halfway up, which is protected by an iron railing.
The house is topped with crowstepped skews and a grey slate roof.
