Description
Abertarff House, located at 71 Church Street in Inverness, dates back to 1593. The building is harled with margins and consists of two storeys. It features a projecting stair tower near the centre, which is corbelled to a square shape at the attic. There is one window to the left and two windows to the right, with a first-floor window on the left that has a gableted dormerhead. The house has crowstepped gables and a slated roof. Inside, on the ground floor, there is a chimney piece dated 1681. The building was restored in 1966.
