Description
Boyndie House, located at 9 Boyndie Street in Banff, dates back to 1740. This is a three-storey house with a dormerless attic and a symmetrical four-bay street frontage. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar margins. The entrances are situated in the outer bays, with the main door on the right. The windows on the first floor are longer, while those on the second floor are slightly shorter. There are two small round attic vents located in the center of the shaped gable, which also features a decorative datestone panel in the middle of the frontage.
The house has timber sash and case windows, with 12-pane glazing on the ground floor, 15-pane on the first floor, and 9-pane on the second floor. The shaped gable has curved skews and a central apex stack, and the roof is covered with slate.
Inside, no original internal features survive.
