Description
The wall at Ravelston Dykes Road in Edinburgh dates back to the 18th century and is made of coped rubble, using stones that have been re-used from an old house. Incorporated into this wall is a fireplace from the earlier 17th century, designed in the Renaissance style. The fireplace features an arched recess, tapered pilasters with Ionic capitals, and a broad cornice above. Inside the recess, there is a sculpture depicting two male heads.
