Description
The Victoria Park in Edinburgh features a life-size bronze statue of Edward VII, created by John S Rhind in 1913. The statue is inscribed with the words "PEACE. EDWARD VII - 1801-1910" and is set within a circular planting bed that has granite coping.
Flanking the statue are quadrant gatepiers and railings arranged in an axial layout. The gatepiers are made of grey granite ashlar, showcasing bull-faced panels, pyramidal caps, and engaged ball finials. The decorative wrought-iron quadrant railings are adorned with spear heads and intricate central panels.
