Description

The statue of Edward VII, located south of the Balliol Road junction, was created around 1904. It features a stone base and a bronze figure, set upon octagonal steps. The design includes four fluted angle pilasters and four panels with architraves, which were originally inscribed but are now very worn. The cornice is decorated with egg and dart moulding. The statue itself stands on a square base, depicting Edward VII in military uniform and a long cloak, holding an orb, sceptre, and crown.
