Description

The statue of King Edward VII is located outside the former Infirmary on New North Road in Highfield. It was created in the early 20th century by sculptor P. Bryant Baker. The statue stands on a granite plinth, which features bronze plaques representing Peace, Sympathy, and Industry on its four sides. The fourth side is inscribed with "Edward VII King and Emperor 1901-10." The life-size bronze statue depicts the King in Garter Regalia.
