Description

The Statue of King Edward VII is a memorial statue located in Fitzalan Square, Sheffield, and was created in 1913 by Alfred Drury. The statue is made of bronze, granite, and ashlar, depicting a standing figure that is larger than life size. It is mounted on a square pedestal with a cornice and a moulded plinth. Each side of the pedestal features bronze reliefs depicting allegorical scenes, while the north and south ends display coats of arms. The base is made of corniced ashlar and includes two steps that are rounded at the north and south ends.
