Description
Duddingston Forge, located on Willowbrae Road in Edinburgh, is a single storey and attic, five-bay, U-plan forge and smithy built in 1914 by T G Leadbetter, J M Fairley, and R S Reid. The building is harled and features crowstepped gables. It has an arched two-leaf glazed door situated under the forward-facing gable bay, with flanking gable-headed windows that break the eaves. The wings are adorned with swept dormers, and there is a pyramidal-roofed louvred ventilator at the ridge. The ground floor has diamond-pane glazing in the casement windows, while the dormer windows feature 12-pane glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates.
