Oakbank, Shore Road, Shandon

Oakbank is a mid-19th century, two-storey, three-bay rectangular-plan house located on Shore Road in Shandon. The exterior features painted harl with sandstone margins and dressings, including a base course, eaves band, and quoin strips, along with projecting bracketed eaves.

The west elevation is symmetrical, with a deep-set four-panelled door at the center and flanking windows. The windows are positioned directly under the eaves and are symmetrically arranged.

On the south elevation, there are windows at both the ground and first floors to the outer right, along with a modern lean-to greenhouse. The north elevation has windows at the ground and first floors to the outer left, and a single-storey lean-to store attached to the left side.

The house features four-pane sash and case windows and a grey slate roof with a rectangular shape, coped wallhead stacks, and terracotta cans.

The interior was not seen in 1993. The property is enclosed by a high rubble boundary wall with semicircular coping along the eastern side, separating it from the road.
