Description

The Slate Loading Jetty in Easdale dates from around 1825. It features breastwalling along a deep and narrow natural harbour inlet, which runs from northeast to southwest, with a smaller inner harbour to the south. The jetty is constructed with slate slabs laid vertically in regular courses. There are slate and whinstone squared rubble steps on the southwest side of the inner harbour. The walling on the outer harbour is currently in a state of disrepair.
