Description

West Wemyss Harbour is a small tidal harbour established in 1621. It features an ashlar and rubble wet dock designed by J & A Leslie in 1872-1873, which was infilled in 1964. The harbour includes a pier to the south and a jetty that projects to the southwest. The inner and outer harbours are separated by a quay to the east, which has a slipway leading to the infilled inner harbour. The wharfs and pier are constructed from large coursed sandstone blocks.
