Description
Dysart Harbour is an early 17th century tidal basin that features a wet dock added in 1831 and was restored in 1967. The harbour is roughly U-shaped, with the mouth facing south at the rounded end and a slipway to the north. The western arm has jetties that project to the west and northwest, creating the entrance to an almost rhomboidal wet dock located at the northwest. The eastern pier has a high ashlar sea wall on the southeast side. The harbour walls are primarily constructed of ashlar stone, with some sections built in vertical courses, and the slipways are made of stone sets.
