Description

Dated 1722. Georgian. Oblong block linked by quadrant wings

to 2 outlying pavilions. Harled. Slate roofs. MAIN BLOCK:

2 storeys and attic; 3 windows wide. Piended roof with

platform top. Ashlar chimneys. Piended dormers. Gabled

porch; Palladian window. Inset over door inscribed "M.M./B.C.

1722.".

PAVILIONS: 1 storey and attic. Piended roofs. Palladian

windows to fore-court. 1-storey flat-roofed additions at

rear of wings. Long 1-storey E. wings added to front

(c. 1830) and rear (c. 1890): Upper storey added (c. 1910)

forming a court.
