Description
Rhuvaal Lighthouse and the keepers' houses, located on Islay, were built in the earlier 19th century. The lighthouse tower is tall and circular, constructed of painted ashlar stone and features a parapet with no windows. The keepers' houses are single-storey buildings made of painted rubble, with double-gabled roofs covered in slate. There are also boundary walls surrounding the property.
