Description
Rosehill, located at 15 North Latch Road in Brechin, is an early 19th-century building that features two canted bays added by Pedde and Kinnear in 1868. The exterior is harled with margins and the structure is two storeys tall. The south elevation is symmetrical, showcasing a central doorpiece with Doric columns, a plain rectangular fanlight, and a tripartite window above, flanked by two-storey four-light ashlar bays. There are set-back single-storey wings on either side, with a four-light bay on the flank of the west wing.
At the rear, there is a round-ended stair projection that includes a tall window, along with outshots and additions that create an approximately symmetrical rear court. The roof is flattish with a piended slate covering and features bell cast, bracketed eaves at both the front and rear of the main block, excluding the stair projection.
The stable court is marked by square ashlar gatepiers and consists of a single-storey structure that is harled with ashlar margins. It includes three boarded doors, a window, and a loft opening, all topped with a piended slated roof.
