Description
Earlier to mid 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay house with pilastered and corniced doorcase and rectangular-plan courtyard to rear. Harled with painted margins, later ashlar bay.
NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: steps up to broad 2-leaf panelled timber door with plate glass fanlight, window above and to each floor at left, full-height canted bay to right with wide-centre tripartite to each floor.
SW ELEVATION: asymmetrical fenestration to gabled bay at left; piended bay to right behind single storey wing with half-timbered gablehead and variety of openings extending to right.
SE (COURTYARD) ELEVATION: symmetrical 3-bay elevation with taller windows to 1st floor and diminutive half-timbered gablehead projecting to centre of roof ridge. Low flat-roofed projection to left. Courtyard flanked by single storey projections with gabled outer bays and flanking link wall with pyramidally-coped square-section gatepiers at centre.
4-, 8-, 12-pane and plate glass glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. Coped harled stacks with full-complement of polygonal cans. Overhanging eaves with plain bargeboarding, brackets and decorative bracing.
INTERIOR: not seen 2000.
WALLED GARDEN: coped rubble rectangular-plan walled garden with slender square-section pyramidally-coped piers.
